March's Spotlight of The Month!

Post Contains Affiliated Links

Tarte Rainforest After Dark Colored Clay Eye & Cheek Palette - $49.00 CDN

I know, I know Spring is in the air and everyone wants to take out their sunny clothes and bright colored makeup.  Trust me, so do I.  I think I have had enough of Mother Nature and her tantrums this winter!!  However one thing I have to say is that when it comes to makeup, some palettes are worth using year around to brighten up your life! Even if it does happen to currently be 19F in Oakville right now at the end of March!

Last year in the fall, Tarte came out with a limited edition Rainforest After Dark Colored Clay Eye & Cheek Palette that actually left me wanting it.  The only time I have ever felt this moved for any eyeshadow palette was for my Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette and Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette.  Tarte seems to make the most amazing eyeshadow palettes that also encompass blush as well.  However many of these great palettes are only limited edition which really suck.  Cause once they are gone, you can't buy them anymore.   Unless you hit up ebay and pay through the....well you know.  Yet luck be a lady, as a few days ago I received any email stated that this palette was back again as a re-release for a limited time!

The reason why I just fell for this palette was because of its all in one multi-purpose use.  First this palette design is beautiful!  It comes in a nice sturdy case that almost looks like Brazilian wood!  Next the circular palette disc is as big as the palm of your hand giving you plenty of product.  Yet what is most impressive about this palette is that you can contour, highlight, apply blush and eyeshadow all in one compact.  This palette is great for traveling because of its sturdy case and ability to offer you everything you need for your face in one place.  The mirror is also large which allows you a full view of your face while you apply your makeup.

The eyeshadows are highly pigmented, have little to no fall out and blend amazingly well.  You get three great lovely pink/purplish shades and three gold/nude/brown shades.  I wore this eyeshadow (with primer of course) for almost 15 hours straight without having any creasing or the shadows disappearing.  The blush is a lovely pink shade that is not to dark nor to light either that it can't be worn during the winter.  The pink blush color is midrange so it fits well for all seasons.  The blush was easy to pick up and offered great coverage that lasted all day without needed to be touched up.  This palette had an amazing highlighting shade that I was able to wear on my cheek bones, nose and chin which appeared lovely without looking too disco ball.  I also used it for my eyebrow bone and inner corner of my eye.  The bronzer is a nice grey tone which works lovely for contouring and bronzing.  It applied well and blended in seamless to my face and a little really did go a long away.  It lasted all day and because it has grey undertones and not red or orange, it works well for my yellow/green undertones.

The only complaint I had with this palette, is while the colors are beautiful, the quality is amazing and the price afforded for all it offers, this palette doesn't work well with all skin tones.  I found by reading many reviews that some of these colors did not show up on darker skin tones.  It mostly flatter and appeared on those with light to medium skin tones.  So its something worth considering if you fall out of these two skin tone ranges.  I really wish makeup companies would try to be more universal with their color selections.  However Tarte does have other palettes that work for dark skin tones so its worth looking through their collection if one palette can't offer you what you are looking for.  Tarte does make amazing products which are worth exploring and do offer many different color selections for skin tones of all types.

So there you have it! My Spotlight of the Month on the re-released limited edition Tarte Rainforest After Dark Colored Clay Eye & Cheek Palette.  Let me know if you have tried this palette and what your thoughts are!

Keep Smiling!

February Favorites!

Feb Favs!

So its that time of the month again! No no, not when your darling "friend" comes to town, but when my favorites of the month get posted! As the months go on, I look forward to two things. 1. Warmer weather 2. Using new products or falling in love again with certain products!  This month's focus is a lot on skincare because with the harsh weather that has been hitting Ontario, trust me its needed!

I just love anything Paula's Choice makes. The reason is because she is one of the few people who actually took time to well formulate her products in order to show effective non-irritant results. This mask works to remove excess oil from your skin without causing it to dry out. The formula in this masks helps to draw out and dislodge blackheads and other impurities without stripping the skin of it's natural moisture. This mask is a clay like formula that when it dries to a hard consistency, it doesn't feel like it's going to break your face. This mask contains ingredients such as sea whip extract, kaolin, Salix alba extract, bisabolol, glycerin, and colloidal oatmeal to name a few. This mask is actually worth trying out!

Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% Liquid BHA - $26.00 US

This product contains 2% salicylic acid which helps in dealing with oily and acne prone skin.  Salicylic Acid also known as BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid) helps to increase the production in collagen in our skin, deal with blemishes and pimples and give us that over all smooth surface look.  I use this product just about everyday morning and night with the exception when I am using my other AHA products.  The first thing I noticed about using this product was that in less then a week my enlarged pores that I had on the side of nose right underneath my eyes were gone! I mean gone completely! My skin looks almost poreless and I hardly get any blemishes.   This product has got to be one of the most amazing products out on the market. If I were stuck on an island, this would be my companion hands down! Along with my sunscreen and chapstick of course!!

(To sweeten the deal, if you decide to buy any product from the Paula's Choice site, click here on my referral link to receive $10.00 off anything you buy over $15.00! Also, Paula's Choice has a money back guarantee on all their products!)

Fresh Sugar Lip Polish - $26.00 CDN

During the winter all our lips get dry from the harsh weather.  I normally exfoliate my lips with my tooth brush and then rub on some nice moisture rich lip balm.  However with the weather being -24F lately, that wasn't cutting it anymore.  Nonetheless being a beauty blogger, we always have awesome samples and products tucked away in our draw waiting to be used.  In a recently Sephora purchase I was given a generous sample of this Fresh Sugar Lip Polish.  I have to say I am amazed by the awesomeness of this product.  Not only does it exfoliate your lips, but it also conditions them afterwards.  I use this every morning and night after my skincare routine.  I have no clue why I haven't tried this sooner but this has totally helped with the dryness, flakiness and chapped lips I have been dealing with all weather long! While it is pricey, however its worth every penny for getting my lips back to their normal state!

Shiseido Facial Cotton - $11.00 CDN

If someone would of told me that buying 120 cotton pads for $11.00 was worth the money I would of said they were crazy!  However after trying them out, I have truly become a believer.  Now I know you can go to Costco and buy a set of 400 cotton pads for $15.00.  However what these Shiseido pads have that your normal cotton pads don't is that they don't absorb as much product and therefore it doesn't go to waste.  I have found that with my Shisedio pads, my toner and BHA/AHA exfoliants last longer because I don't need as much liquid on the pad in order for it to reach the surface.  I love these pads and while yes they are a bit on the pricey side for the amount of pads you get, however so are you liquid products which go to total waste when the majority is left on the pad and not on your face!  So totally worth trying out even if just once!

Julep Night Shift Sleeping Mask - $27.20 US

I have combination skin where oil is mostly in my T-Zone centralized on my nose.  However the rest of my face is normal with no real issues.  Nonetheless, being pregnant the last eight months and with this harsh Canadian weather, my face has taken a hit!  I started seeing dryness and flakiness around my face.  So when I saw that Julep had come out with this sleeping mask, I decided to give it a shot. I love rich thick cream during the weather for my night time skincare routine.  I have always been interested in trying a sleeping mask, but just couldn't find one worth my wild or that had safe ingredients.  However after checking the back of the label of this product, I was sold.  I started using this mask three weeks ago and have seen a massive improvement in my skin.  All my dryness is gone.  I never wake with oily skin and my face literally looks velvety smooth in the morning.  I would for sure recommend this product if you are looking for a safe sleeping mask with no harsh ingredients.  This mask is a bit pricey, however if you are a Julep member you can always find this mask on sale at their online store.  If you are not a Julep Subscription member, click here to sign up to get your first box free (shipping is $2.99) and you also get access to their sale store! It really is worth the price!

House of Lashes Ribbon Eyelash Case - $6.00 US

I wear fake eyelashes from time to time.  However the biggest problem I have is storing them afterwards.  I have tried many methods to keeping them safe, but I always end up losing them after a day of wearing them.  However one day after watching youtube, I noticed a few girls had this cute case which they were storing their lashes in.  I googled "eyelash case holder" and this lovely trinket popped up from House of Lashes for only six dollars.  You can not only store your lashes in this pink ribbon case, but you can also store your tools and glue so you have it all in one place.  For six dollars and a piece of mind this is really worth the investment.  Also come on, you have to admit its cute and looks great on your makeup counter!!

Well there you have it, my favorites of the month! Let me know if anything this month caught your eye from the products you being trying!

Keep smiling!

January Favorites!

Current Beauty Obsessions!

When it comes to beauty products, I have more than I can count. Nonetheless I always make sure to use them up before replacing full bottles of things.   However there comes a time now and then when you simply just fall in love with a product! Lately I have been obsession over these beauty products where I find myself reaching for them on a constant basis. So I decided to incorporate them in my January favorites. God knows I had more, but I figure I choice my top picks and leave the rest for next month's favorites!

Nars Turkish Delight - $31.00 CDN

This has got to be the most beautiful pinkish nude lip gloss I have ever seen. Not only does it glide on so smoothly and nourishes your lips, but it also leaves behind no tacky or sticky feeling. It really makes my lips feel conditioned all day long. The color has a good pay off lasting for a few hours before needing to re-apply. I plan to get their color Striptease as well since it seems like a color I would wear!

Poppy Austin Bright Revitalizing Eye Cream - $22.49 US

Poppy Austin is a company I have fallen in love with over the last year!  They make great products that not only work but are sensible and safe for the skin.  This product contains "organic Aloe, organic Jojoba Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Rosehip Oil, Green Tea, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Tamanu Oil" to name a few.  It also lacks all the silly fillers, alochol, fragrances and other ingredients that are harmful to the skin!  I have been using this around my eyes and I have to say I am amazed at the results.  It has helped greatly with puffiness, tackling my very fine lines and wrinkles and seriously hydrating my eye area.  It literally leaves the skin around my eyes feeling like fine silk. I am already fearing the day that this bottle runs out!

Calgon Ageless Bath Mineral Scrub and Soak

Growing up I always saw this name brand in my local drugstore but never had the opportunity to try it out.  A few weeks ago, I was walking down the aisle of Shopper Drugmart looking for a good body scrub when I saw this.   It flashed me back to my childhood and I knew I had to try this out.  So with that I sniffed it and bought it!  I have to say, for the $6.00 it cost me, it was well worth it.  This mineral scrub literally leaves my skin feeling fresh, clean and exfoliated.  The smell is amazing without being overpowering.  You can also use a few scoops in your bath water if you just wanted to soak in it.  For the price, this product comes in a really big tub.  I use it about 2-3 times a week and my skin always feels alive and clean afterwards.  It washes always with no residue left behind and leaves your skin nicely conditioned and smelling great!  You can find this brand at any local drugstore or supermarket in the bath aisle.

Nexxus Therappe Shampoo & Humectress Conditioner

Nexxus was literally a staple item for my mother growing up in my home.  I am talking circa 1980's when the bottles looked completely different.  I recently tried this for the first time after seeing it in my friends bathroom.  So one day while walking through Shoppers Drugmart I saw this on sale for ten dollars a bottle with a coupon for two dollars off each bottle.  I have to say, while this is not sulfate free, nonetheless it does make my hair look and smell great.  It has this amazing smell like cinnamon and spice.  It leaves my hair feeling soft and my scalp feeling great!  I would suggest you buy this on sale because at regular price this can almost cost anywhere between $15 to $20 a bottle!

Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Palette - $49 US / $59 CDN

I just love this palette.  While I will say the original Chocolate Bar Palette is better, nonetheless this one still hits it out of the park.  The palette has colors that range from cool to warm tones.  While the colors aren't highly pigmented, nonetheless a little water on your brush does the trick.  The Blueberry Swirl color looks awesome when applied to the lid with their Peanut Butter color.  If you have the original chocolate bar palette, then this will surly be an amazing addition to your collection and totally fun to play with and create awesome looks!

Bella and Bear "The Pluckers" Professional Tweezer Set - $25.00 US

This tweezer set is like no other. It comes with three different tweezers to pluck and tweeze all your eyebrow needs!  Because this has three different shapes, it works wonders in grabbing all the hairs on your eyebrows with breeze.  I love this plucker set and is now my go to for plucking.  I just threw out my old Tweezerman set and moved on to these.  These are totally worth buying due to the three different tweezers it comes with!  Trust your eyebrows will thank you!

Julep Oxygen Nail Treatment - $14.00 / $18.00 US

This is one of the best nail treatments I have seen or tried in a while. My nails are normally hard and sturdy. However with pregnancy they become brittle, soft and break off easily. I started using this product one month ago and was amazed to see how my nails grew strong again. I also realized that they no longer looked brittle, but shiny, smoother and the free edge (the white part) was very white and strong. You are suppose to wear this nail treatment alone on clean nails with no other type of nail polish. It leaves a nice soft pinky color on your nails. It lasted me a whole week before needing to reapply. When I cleaned it off with nail polish remover in order to re-apply again for the next week, there were no stains left behind on my nails. I am honestly amazed at this nail treatment and what a simple week and two coats did to my nails.

So there you have it, my favorites for January! Let me know if you are currently obessession over any beauty products!

Keep Smiling!

September Favorites!

Monthly Favorites!

September is an awesome month!  Its when Fall returns and the leaves turn a beauty shade of Autumn colors!  Its a great time to start working on your makeup Fall looks!  Plus its also time to look further into your skincare routine and ramp it up.  Since the cold wear is approaching, its always good to start taking care of your skin now!  So Jenny and I decided to put together a few products for your makeup needs and skincare routine!

VoilaVe is a company that sells only quality products with quality ingredients.  My vanity is slowly morphing over to being a small VoliaVe display.  I so far have used all the products they have sent me for review and have replaced a lot of my other facial skincare products with there's.  This serum is a triple action vitamin c that also contains hyaluronic acid.  Come on, you know it doesn't get any better than that!  This leaves my skin feeling awesome and contains two products in one for that triple action punch!  Click here for the the full review on this product!

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara - $23.00 US

Let me start off by saying, when it comes to loving a product the price shouldn’t really matter! I have a huge collection of mascaras (I swear every promotional gimmick gets me) that in all honestly I’ve wasted so much money on. I heard about this Too Faced mascara and read countless of great reviews.  So I figured why not! It’s not too expensive, it was actually under the $30 mark.

I ordered mine from the site and the shipping was fast and the packaging was pretty amazing! When I opened my box of goodies I grabbed the mascara first; it came with a travel size too!! The wand is super pretty! It comes in a pink shade and looks like it’s made for a real make up junkie like myself.  The best part, was that the magic of this mascara was instant as soon as I applied this on my lashes.  I was instantly a satisfied customer! What I love this mascara, is that it doesn’t clump if applied correctly! Also you can go from wow to WOW by applying a second (or third) coat!! Either way it compliments any look you’re going for and a must have for even the most natural beauties!

Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer -$20.00 US

I received this shadow insurance primer as a sample when I ordered some other make up from Too Faced.  I have never felt the need to try eye shadow primer before, but I was getting ready for my friends wedding and did not want to deal with touching up my eye make up. I tried the sample and did not need more than a dab for my eyes. This probably means this sample size will last me for a long time before I need to buy the full size tube. I found this primer to be very smooth and easy to apply. It dried quickly on my eyelids with no residue.  I applied my gold eye shadow for the wedding, and needless to say when I got home my make up looked untouched and fresh! I was impressed!!! I did not have to worry about creasing or the eye shadow wearing off like I do most of the time!! This eye shadow primer is really worth its weight in goal!

Poppy Austin Rosehip Oil - $25.25 US

I have been using Poppy Austin since the start of the year and have truly fallen in love with this company!  I love that fact that they make pure and organic products that really show a difference in results.  I started using this oil three weeks back and have been truly amazed by the results.  My skin looks brighter, hydrated, plump and refresh.  It doesn't leave an oily residual behind and absorbs quickly into the skin.  I would for sure recommend this product if you are in the market to try new oils and/or have skincare issues you are looking to correct as Rosehip oil helps to deal with hyperpigmenation, acne scars, dryness and eczema to name a few.  To read my full review on this product click here!

There you have it, our September favorites for the month! Let us know what you think and if you have tried any of the products mentioned here!

July Favorites!

July Favorites!

OMG can you believe July just flew by and now its August!!! I hope everyone is having a good summer so far!  Well believe it or not, I am actually posting my July favorites on time!

As you all know, I love Poppy Austin everything.  I own just about all their products.  This skincare line is amazing because they have actually taken the time out to put proper ingredients in their products that actually prove effective.  I recently tried out their Vitamin C with hyaluronic acid and was just impressed by this combination. Vitamin C helps to improve skin texture, uneven skin tone, fight against free radical cell damage, lightening dark spots and tons more benefits.  Their hyaluronic acid helps to plump up the skin, make it smooth and help with its elasticity.  This product is truly a gem and everyone should have one of these in their skincare drawer!  For a full review on this product click here!

When I heard about this company I knew I had try them out.  Coming from a psych background any product claiming that they had pheromones in them really peaked my interest.  I have to say this product smells amazing. I even blush every time I smell or think about this product.  It smells like soft sorbet raspberries with just a hint of lemon.  I apply this in the shower after using my regular body wash.  Once I wash and dry off, OMG my skin is soft for hours even without applying moisturizer.  It feels like a soft lovely oil left behind on your body that just feels decadent all day long.  I am writing a full review on product this week!  Click here for the full review!

Sally Hansen French Manicure White Tip Pen - $6.99 US

When I paint my nails on my hands, I normally only do the french manicure.  However living in Canada the price for a french manicure can cost anywhere between $25-$35.  Compared to when I lived in the NYC when it was at least 10 dollars cheaper, getting one done every two weeks can add up.  Upon perusing the alleys of Walmart, I found this pen that claimed it can give you a nice french manicure with little to no hassle.  I decided to try it out and sure enough my nails came out awesome. Sure I still needed to clean around the edges, but I had no mess, no crazy lines or nasty white chalky nail tips.  This is really worth getting and dried very quickly!

Too Faced Melted Peony - $25.00 CDN

I love lip glosses and balms.  Lipstick is ok with me, but not my go to! However when I heard that Too Faced came out with these hybrid type lippies, I knew I had to try them.  They are very creamy with a long life wear.  They don't transfer easily and won't dry your lips out either.  You can get them in an array of colors.  I really like the Peony and Nude color.  I would for sure recommend these for the summer and just about all year around!

So there you have it my July favorites!

Keep Smiling!

June Favorites!

June Favorites!
So once again, I know I am so late with this, but whatever! Better late then never right!!  This month I really found some product that are just a gem to use in this hot weather and glorious time to show off your lovely skin for the summer!  FYI, I will be a doing a full review of the Too Faced Chocolate Palette for next month!  Also, starting next month I will be starting my own Youtube channel!!! So stay tune for that!

Scott Barnes Body Bling Platinum - $30.00 US

Scott Barnes Body Bling Platinum comes in two shades.  Platinum and original.  I bought this after looking for a self tanning lotion that give me a (real) shimmer look to my legs and arms when wearing a dress but without the 1-2 week commitment of having to keep the tan.  This made my legs shine and shimmer throughout the day in the sun and really gave them that "Victoria Secret runway" look!  It applied on easily and it washed off my hands with no problem.  This body bling is a nice platinum like color that doesn't leave you with a bronze tan look but more of slight noticeable beautiful shimmer effect.  I got to admit, I couldn't stop staring at my legs all day long!  If you buy the original you will end up with that J Lo tan if that is the look you are going for which is just as beautiful!  Just a word of caution, only use this on body parts that are exposed.  This does rub off on clothes and fabrics so be careful. Click here for the full review on this!

Ageless Derma Anti-Aging Intensive Skin Brightener - $49.00 US - See more at: http://everythingbeautyandbeyond.blogspot.com/2014/07/ageless-derma-anti-aging-intensive-skin.html#sthash.q2Sm9v7O.dpuf

This is one of the best skin brightener correctors for dark spots that I have ever used.  This comes in a lovely vacuum sealed jar that has a pump at the top that dispenses the right amount of product.  It works wonder on dark spots and is backed by actual research.  It has no fragrance or scent to it and applies smoothly on the skin.  It helps to deal with dark spots left behind from acne, sun spots, scars and so on.  I love the way this product has evened out my skin and reduced big time my dark spots from pimples.  Worth trying and investing in.  Also, the company is currently offer 20% off  if you use the code "ageless" at checkout! I just love this company!  For a full review on this product, click here!

OMG is all I can say!! I have never ever been so in love with a palette the way I am with this!  When I first heard of this palette my first thought was "please its just a palette!" and decided against it because it cost $59 PLUS 13% tax in Canada.  However one day while surfing the net I saw it was on sale at the HSN for $49.00 US and I found a coupon for $20 off the price!  So with free shipping, the palette and taxes I paid $31.00 US.  SOLD! I bought it and had it shipped to my sister in the USA who shipped it to me!  I have not stop reaching for this palette. The colors are so super pigmented and rich.  They don't crease and just beautiful when applied.  This palette smells like a pure chocolate bar.  I know it sounds crazy but I can even smell the chocolate eye shadow on my eyes all day long.  I love this palette and for the price which was literally half off I couldn't be happier.  You NEED this palette in your life!!

 Hydra B5 Masque Advance Formula + - $31.85 US

I am a fan of Cosmetic Skin Solution products.  From the moment I heard of them, I have been in love.  They recently came out with this gel type face masque that you apply on and let it set it.  Its more like a gel moisturizer.  Its extremely cooling and very silky.   It has no fragrance, dyes or alochol and is literally a master piece of a moisturizer.  I apply this masque every night at bed time as my last step.  It adsorbs into the skin very quickly and leaves it feeling silky smooth for the morning.  I mean your face literally feels like a baby's bottom.  I am not kidding.  It is just amazing!  The absorption rate is so quick, that by the time my head hits the pillow my face is nicely dry and ever so soft.   I don't know where this was the last few years of my life, but all I can say is that I love this mositruzer and plan to repurchase once it runs out!  For a full review of this product, click here!

So there you have it, my June favorites!

Keep Smiling!

May Favorites!

May Favorites!

I know, I know I am pretty late posting this! However I have a good reason! I moved the month of May and really spent a lot of time fixing up the new house and hardly any time shopping.  However as you can see, I did manage to squeeze some shopping in!

Bella & Bear High and Mighty Eyelash Curler - $15.99 US

I have a love hate relationship with eyelash curlers.  Nonetheless, I refuse to put mascara on without this tool.  However I have to say, out of all the eyelash curlers I have ever tried this one truly amazed me.  I curled my lashes with and without mascara and the curl held all day long.  It didn't pinch my skin or eyelid and truly just left me with a prefect lifted eyelash.  I just love this curler!

Adovia Mineral Balsam Dead Sea Salt Deep Hair Conditioner - $18.75 US

I was very curious about this item as I have never tried dead sea salt for the hair anything.  This thing smelled amazing and my hair literally looked and felt better then ever.  I have to say I was completely impressed.  It really made my hair shiny and just felt like silk when I ran my fingers through it.   I let my hair air dry then I flat ironed it and truly my hair was still looking awesome.  My dry ends didn't look horrible and my hair didn't feel oily or greasy.  This conditioner really helped in making my dandruff less flaky.  I would highly recommend this conditioner for anyone who is looking to use dead sea salt for their hair.

Pure & Essential Minerals Dead Sea Mud Mask - $29.44 US

I just love dead sea mud masks!  So when I got a chance to try this one, I was over the moon! This mask is awesome! It made my pores smaller and felt amazing on my face. It dried to a dark green color and wasn't concrete hard.  It washed off easily and with no real residue left behind.  It left my face feeling so baby soft that I couldn't stop touching it the next day!  The jar clearly says to only use once a week which is a bummer as I would love to use this 2-3 times a week.  However I plan to use this weekly till it runs out and according to their website you have about 30 plus facials you can get can out of this jar!  That is basically more then half a year if used weekly!

Baby Foot - $25.00 US

If you have dry, nasty cracked Velcro Syndrome feet, then you need this product.  This comes with two little booties inside that you place on feet for 1-2 hours.  It is filled with AHA which helps to exfoliate the skin on your feet.  This will make your feet peel anywhere from 3-5 days later up to two weeks later!  I tell you, I have never had feet so soft after using this product! My feet literally were baby soft!

Sabon Lavender Body Oil - $20.00 US

I just love the smell of lavender like you wouldn't believe.  It just gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside every time I smell it.  One day while watching Youtube I heard of this company called Sabon. I googled them and realized that they had this lovely lavender body oil and I really just needed to try it.  However they don't ship to Canada! Never fear, I got it shipped to my sister in NYC who mailed it to me. OMG I am in love! I wear this almost everyday after my shower and my body feels so soft and amazing and I smell like lavender for hours! I totally recommend this company!

Tarina Tarantino Sparklicity Shimmer Dust - Aurora - $39.00 US

I love facial highlighter.  I wear it everyday!  So when I heard you could get shimmer dust for your body as well I was literally over the moon!  Hey I figured if I could look like a disco ball all around then why not!  Tarina Tarantino has these lovely shimmer dust powders that come in three different colors.  You simply spray it on like you would perfume and it last all day long!  I love the way it makes me look and it has a slight lovely smell to it!  I bought mine from Hautelook however you can also buy it off their website!

April Favorites!

April Favorites!

So, for the month of April I ended up trying some amazing products that just really blew my mind away.  However its no surprise since it was my birthday this month, I figure I treat myself to all sorts of new, yummy and wonderful things!

No matter if your oily, normal or dry skin, everyone needs a moisturizer.  I have always used creams until I was given a sample of Josie Maran 100% Argan oil.  I used the oil every day for a month and saw how my dry patches on my face just floated away into nothing but pure and smooth moisturized skin.  However the price tag on it was just simply stupid.  A 1.7oz of Josie Maran Argan oil cost $58.00 CDN.  People, just in case for those who don't read the label, all this bottle has is 100% pure Agran oil....nothing more and nothing less.  Based on that I went hunting for something cheaper but that was still organic, cold press with no fillers or anything taken away.  I was delighted when I found Poppy Austin Agran oil.  For a bottle of 2oz the price came out to $26.55.  Shipping cost me $7.00 to Canada and I still saved a crap load of money.  I received a bringer bottle that was still the same thing Josie Maran was selling, only more realistic in price.  I would highly recommend this oil be added to your daily skincare routine.  It didn't clog my pores or make my face grease.  All you need is 2-3 drops of this oil to see the magic.  I mix it in with my daily cream moisturizer during the winter for an extra punch and/or with my face serum.  Its worth trying and for the price, you can't go wrong.

This oil is organic, cold press with no fillers or anything taken away. It doesn't clog your pores or make your face grease. All you need is 2-3 drops of this oil to see the magic. I mix it in with my daily cream moisturizer during the winter for an extra punch and/or with my face serum. Its worth trying and for the price, you can't go wrong. You can buy it off Amazon.com and have it shipped to Canada for $7.00.

Chantecaille The Coral Reefs Palette - $79.00 USA

I bought this eyeshadow palette off Ebay for $40. I really wanted it when I first saw it, however I was not willing to pay almost $80 for an eyeshadow palette. Nonetheless I love this palette. The shadows are so creamy, soft and just blend so easy on the eyes. They have a beautiful gold coral reef painted on each eyeshadow. However that is only temporary as once it rubs off, the gold sheen is gone. The colors are very pretty. The top two colors are eye shadows. The dark brown one is suppose to be used for eyeliner and the pretty dark peach color is blush. However I use them all as eyeshadow! This palette is truly just beautiful to look at!

Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder - $29.00 CDN

The Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder is amazing to apply to your under eye area. It helps to avoid your concealer from creasing and since the powder is finely milled it doesn't settle into the fine lines of your eyes. It's very creamy and distributes nicely underneath your eyes. It doesn't leave behind any glittery look. Instead what I did see was my dark under eye circles almost vanish. After I applied the LM brightening powder I was shock to see how my under eye area no longer look dark and dreary. Instead it looked alive, with color and bright. I would highly recommend this powder be used to set your under eye concealer if you are looking for a more alive and bright look which will help to hide the dark circles that your concealer might not be able to fully do!

Especially Escada Elixir - $58/$77/$104 CDN

When I first smelled this fragrance it automatically took me to a beautiful faraway land where roses laid on every bush in the garden that I walked through (in my mind). With waterfalls made of rose water that compared to simple bliss. This fragrance is very light weigh yet not too florally. It has a crisp scent that does not overpower your sense of smell and the thought of rose gardens are on your mind. It really does remind you of walking in a field of roses. So if you are in the market for a new scent, I highly recommend you try this product.

Color Your Smile Lighted Up Gloss Nude - $24.00 USA

This lip gloss is one of a kind. Not only is the color beautiful, but it also has two amazing functionality. If comes with a very decent mirror on the back of the lip gloss which works amazing to look at while you are applying the product. It also has a set of lights on the lip gloss top itself. When you open up the gloss the lights turn on so that you can see yourself in the mirror as you apply it. Great for using when you are in a dark room! The color of this lip gloss is a beautiful nude. It glides on creamy and has good staying power. These lip glosses come in other lovely colors and worth checking out.

Chanel Correcteur Perfection Long Lasting Concealer - $40.00 CDN

This concealer has some of the best staying power and cover up I have every seen. It last all day without streaking or disappearing throughout the day. It glides on creamy and soft and blends in amazingly. It comes in three different colors to work with certain skin tones. The packaging is quite simple and the product is very easy to apply. It comes in a fairly standard size tube with a decent amount of product. I have tried so many concealers in my time and this Chanel long lasting concealer is true to its name and just amazing!

Well there you have it! My April Favorites!

Keep Smiling!

March Favorites!

So this took me awhile to decide what were my favorites products for the month of March as I had so many things to pick from.  However at last I narrowed it down to four awesome products!

Ok so I am like totally obsessed with my eyebrows to the point that I actually measure them when I pluck them to make sure they are of even angle.  I also pluck them just about everyday to avoid stray hairs and I NEVER let anyone touch them who is not me!!  However I recently went to Sephora and an Anastasia worker gave me this pencil and told me it would work well to fill in any gaps in my eyebrows! I love how natural and easy this is to use.  It comes in different colors so that there is one to for just about every person's eyebrow color.  It looks so awesome I even had guys, fellow co-workers compliment me on my eyebrows!  Love this pencil and the spoolie attached to it!

Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre - $59.38 CDN

Face powder and I have a love/hate relationship.  That is until I found this Chanel powder!  What I hate about face powder is...well....how it makes you look powdery after applied.  However this powder is so finely milled that it leaves behind no trace of a powdery finish.  The jar it comes in is pretty big and there is enough powder to last you for a year if used on a regular basis! I love this powder. I truly don't know how I have survived the last years without it!

BCC makes this beautiful Kabuki brush that is great for stippling and/or buffering your foundation.  It comes in two colors, pink or black handle.  It is made of kabuki material so it doesn't allow the product to soak into the hairs of the brush and delivers a flawless look. I love this brush and can't say enough about it!

Mac Fix+ - $25.00 CDN

While people use this as a setting spray, this works more as a spray to help mattify your makeup and great rid of that powdery look.  This has no alcohol in it which is great and really refreshes your face and makeup when its been a long day and you need a pick me up for your makeup without having to re-apply it.

So those are my March favorites! Let me know what are yours!

Keep Smiling!
