After three kids, some weight gain from pregnancy and the fact that I am a woman makes me a great candidate for cellulite.  The problem with cellulite is that due to the way muscles are shaped in women, you can't get rid of it.  But you can diminish the look of it. 

When I tried the spalon tech go bare cellulite reduction cream I did not expect to get good results because I have tried numerous creams in the past that did not give me any different results. Nonetheless, for the sake of beauty and a small sheer chance of hope, we try all different source of products anyway just in case a miracle occurs.

This cream is packed with ingredients like Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Extract, Algae(Seaweed) Extract, Caffeine, Vitamin E, Rosa Damascena Oil, and other to name that few that have show to have results against the fight with cellulite.  A lot of the ingredients used in this cream are organic. This product is loaded with anti-oxidants and 64 vitamins and minerals such as A, C, E, B12 and B6 to name a few.

First thing I noticed about this cream was the packaging.  I love the packaging of the bottle but most importantly the pump nozzle. The pump nozzle gives me an exact amount of cream without making a mess or wasting of anything. The pump has great control and dispenses just the right amount you need for your body.  This cream goes on light and is not greasy, sticky or heavy compared to most cellulite creams.  Another added bonus is the fact that it dries fast leaving you the ability to get dressed quickly after application.   It does not have a strong scent to it which I feel is important since I normally wear scented lotions and I would not want any cream overpowering my body lotion.

I have noticed a change in the area where I used the cream on my inner thighs.  My skin feels tighter and firmer since I started using this cream.  While I am not expecting this cream to get rid of my cellulite since we all know no cream can do that, however it has diminishing the awful looking cottage cheese appearance of cellulite. You need to use this cream anywhere between 3-6 weeks to see results.  It greatly depends on the state of your cellulite and how your skin response to it.

However with all that being said, a cream alone can't fix it all.  I always recommend working out and drinking water to reduce any form of cellulite.   This cream is a great addition to any beaty regimen you may already have in place.  I surely plan to continue using this cream in order to achieve better results!

I have been using VoilaVe skincare line since about the middle of this year and have not been disappointed one bit!  I was recently asked to review their Total Youth Eye Gel, and let me tell you it could not of come at a better time!

I am 33 years old, with three kids under the age of four and another one on the way which is due in March/April!  Needless to say I don't get much sleep....ever.  Since the day my first child was born I can't remember having a full night's rest without waking up constantly in the middle of the night to take care of one of my children.  Nonetheless no matter what type of parent you are and no matter how much you do for your kids, nothing can get you back your years that you lose due to lack of sleep.  Don't get me wrong I am use to working 14-16 hour shift as an intern and then as a therapist in my own practice. I know what its like to work 7 days a week around the clock,  sleep very little, eat very little and still look like you are in your twenties!  However all you need to do is become a parent to never sleep again!

I naturally, by genetics, have dark under eye circles.  My two year old daughter has them as well.  Normally with dark under eye circles, very little besides surgery can really correct that issues.  However puffiness, dull eye skin, swelling, wrinkles and redness can totally be helped if a great eye cream is applied to the area.  However with that being said, not all eye creams actually do what they claim to do.  Most eye creams are great moisturizers.   However if you are looking to correct under eye issues, then you need more then just a cream to see a difference in that area.   You actually need a cream that is load with certain type of ingredients that are clinically proven to show results.  

VoilaVe Total Youth Eye Gel is made with organic ingredients and contains plant stem  cells, matrixyl 3000 to help tighten and firm the skin, hyaluronic acid to help plump out the skin and diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles, cucumber and aloe to help smooth the skin and reduces puffiness and swelling, vitamin E; and other great ingredients to cause a difference underneath your eyes!

The product is bottled in an air tight and non see through pump which is great to help keep the product stable and free from bacteria that is transferred from our fingers to the cream when we stick our hands in jars.   It dispense just the right amount with one pump.  A little goes a long way since your under eye area is small.  

I used this product for about three weeks, and while it hasn't been able to get me back my years of lost sleep (can't have it all) it has been able to help reduce the swelling and puffiness around my eyes I get from water retention due to lack of sleep.  It has improved the looked of my starting crows feet around my eyes (gasp!!) and it has help plump out my skin and keep it conditioned and bright looking.  While my dark under eye circles will always exist, nonetheless lack of sleep just makes them look worse.  This under eye cream really has made a difference on my eyes!  It never stung my eyes, or had a smell to it.  It never irritated or burned my skin either.  I once tried an eye gel that peeled the skin underneath my eyes right off and turned them yellow!!  Needless to say, I am careful with any eye cream I try!  Thankfully this eye is formulated right with no adverse affects to my eyes.

I am grateful to see a company that is able to offer an eye cream that does just more than condition the skin.  This cream is truly worth the try if you ask me!

Ashieda Konjac Sponge Review

Just about everyone and their mother (literally) using some sort of facial brush, sponge or tool now a days to wash their face with.  It's rare to find a true die hard, hard core beauty lover who only use their hand when washing their face.  I personally use my  clarisonic and love it!  However I have heard a lot about this konjac sponges and really wanted to try one.  I first saw them at Sephora for around $20.  But I didn't see the need to invest in a sponge when I already had a $200 Clarisonic system at home.  However a few months back I gave my sister a Konjac sponge to try and she loved it.  So I figured, why not!

Ashieda Konjac sponge is made of vegetable fiber with collagen which is pretty interesting. Normally sponges in general are made from some sort of foaming squeezable and soft material that absorbs water and then air dries.  However this sponge is made totally different.  When you first get the Konjac sponge, it leaves you wondering exact how in the world you going to is it.  It comes rock hard and seems like it going to scrape your face off.  However after running it under water for five minutes, it became all soft and lovely!  

Its best you use this sponge in the shower as you do need to take a few minutes to soften it with water.  So if you are in a rush that day, its best you skip it or you might take your face off.  The product says you can use this sponge without any facial cleanser.  While that might be practical in theory, in reality its far from that.  You need a facial cleanser in order to help get rid of the oil and residue on your face.  Nonetheless while this sponge can help to clean your face, it can't cut thoroughly through facial grease which we all have.  Hence why we use soap in the shower to wash our bodies with and not just water and a wash cloth.  This sponge works great to help exfoliates your skin.   It can help to clean your pores, remove blackheads and dirt from your face. 

Once you are done using it, you need to hang it somewhere to dry.  If not, it can grow mold and/or mildew.  And really who wants to wash their face time and time again with a sponge once its contaminated?!  So dry it properly to avoid it getting damaged.  Finally,  it's completely bio-degradable, which is great for the environment. 

This is a great Konjac sponge to use and for the price you can't beat it!

Yalmeh Glory Eye Bright Gel Review & GIVE-A-WAY!

Yalmeh Glory Eye Bright Gel - $19.25 US

Eye creams and gels are very interesting.  Reason is because some are just basically face cream bottled in a tiny expensive tube,  while others actually do show improvement over time.  However its hard to tell what you are getting unless you read the ingredients list.  

I was on the market looking for an eye gel that would actually work.  And by works, I mean that results would be evident.  I tend to get bothered with facial products rather quickly.  If I don’t see results from the product in about 2-3 weeks time frame, I’ll lose all interest and stop using it!  Hence why I have a collection of eye and faces creams in my bathroom.  

I have a four month old baby and due to the lack of sleep I get, I started to develop dark circles under my eyes!!! Gasp!!! Besides sleep, I knew I needed something else that would work quickly and not cost me another night of sleep worth in dollars!  So when I asked to try out this cream eye, I was game.  I mean at this point my under eye area needed help and fast!

What I like about this product is the fact that the packaging is small and simple.  Since I have so many beauty products that I use and try out, I like to keep the ones I like neatly and organized in my vanity. I started using this product once a week but ONLY at nights before bed.  I noticed after one week of using this product the dark circles under my eyes were gone! A bonus also was that I even felt my face was firmer around the areas I applied the gel to.  I only used about a pea size dab amount on each area under my eyes.   It didn't sting my eyes, irritate the delicate part of the skin or cause any burning.

 The product dries quickly without having a greasy feeling left behind and you can use it with your moisturizer without having to wait for it to dry.  It has a light smell to it like cucumber, and when it’s applied it feels cool and refreshing.   However the smell was so slight that it never burned my eyes. 

I would recommend this product to my friends and family.

Ageless Derma Oil Free Purifying Facial Cleanser Gel Review

Truth is, I don't mind.  I have been using this company's products for almost two years now and I am truly happy and impressed by their quality. I first started out with their eye cream and my love affair evolved from there! Click here to read that review!

I was recently asked by Ageless Derma to try out their Oil Free Purifying Facial Cleanser Gel.  I was totally excited to receive this product.  I currently use Paula's Choice face wash and haven't tried anything new in almost two years because I am very picky about my face wash.  Many face washes contain irritating ingredients that produce more damage then good.  However with ageless derma, their products tend to be more on the natural side and carefully thought out.  I ALWAYS study the ingredients list on all skincare products before I buy them.  So far nothing that I have tried from Ageless Derma has actually caused me any concern!  Since the creator behind this brand line is a medical doctor, I am very happy to see they have put a lot of proper care and research in the ingredients they use!

This gel cleanser comes in a nice squeezable plastic bottle with a squirt mouth at top.  It dispenses in the same way many shampoo do.  Speaking of shampoo; the color, texture and consistency of  this is almost like shampoo.  It feels like a very silky gel in your hands and has no oily feeling.  I poured a dime size amount in my hand and worked it into a rich lather all over my face.  It washed off without any residue feeling left behind and NO dry or tight face.  I actually waited about 5-10 minutes after washing it off to see if that tight feeling would occur and it didn't!  

The fact that this has chamomile was what attracted me to it. Studies have been conducted that found chamomile can help skin when it is inflamed. The first time I used this I had just finished waxing the sides of my face. I, like a lot of women have always had blonde peach fuzz on my checks that lies close to my hair line. However after having three babies, they have turned from blonde to black (gasp)! And while the hair has not become coarse, you can still see the black hairs.

Currently I am pregnant with baby number four and as you know, during pregnancy everything goes haywire on your face.  After I finished waxing my face, I noticed it was red and inflamed!  Not a good thing.  So I reached for this face wash and I have to say it really calmed down the redness and outbreaks I get from waxing.  Normally it takes me two weeks to reduce the inflammation from waxing and to control the breakouts.  I used this face wash twice a day and within one week my face was back to normal!  I was totally shocked and impressed with the quick turnover that this product did for my face.

I would totally recommend this face wash if you want something that has natural ingredients in it with other quality ingredients.  It is so worth the money!

Adovia Anti Wrinkle Facial Moisturizer Cream Review

Adovia Anti Wrinkle Facial Moisturizer Cream - $24.37 US

I received this product as part of an advertorial. 

I have used Adovia skincare products before and just loved them.  I recently received a bottle of this cream for review.  I used it for about a month before writing this review.  Normally with skincare products it takes about a month before you start seeing real results if the moisturizer states that it does more then just make your face soft.

This cream states that it is infused with vitamin C, dead sea salt, minerals, collagen and lactic acid.  All these ingredients actually are considered very good for the skin and are proven to help promote cell turnover and help diminish the looks of fine lines and wrinkles.  However, while I love the fact that this cream is so well formulated, the only downfall is that it comes in a jar.  It has also been proven that jar creams help to render many ingredients useless because of the constant exposure to light and air.  Vitamin C for example is an antioxidant and breaks down with light and air.  So adding this to a cream jar form actually renders it useless.  It would be more appropriate that the company step away from jar products and start putting their creams in air tight pumps which also helps to disallow bacteria to contaminate the product due to sticking your fingers in the jar.   

This cream was great in hydrating the face.  It really helped with my dryness and didn't clog my pores.  It wasn't runny and didn't sting my eyes because it has no fragrance or perfume added in which is awesome.  I can't stand companies who feel the need to make their creams smell good. While yes it might smell good; fragrances and perfumes in face creams are actually irritants for the skin and a big no no.  So if you ever pick up a cream in general that smells good..run.  You would never put normal perfume on your face, so why put that in a cream!? Now with that being said, this product did have a smell to it.  But I think that comes from some of the natural ingredients found in it cream that naturally produce their own smells.   However checking the ingredient list, the company did not seem to add anything extra that would synthetically produce a smell.  So that is a bonus for sure!!

I really liked using this cream at night, but not so much during the day. I found that this cream took a bit to absorb during the day.  So I mostly used it at night.  With that being said, I am not saying its a bad time.  Since we all have different skin types, some things absorb quicker/better into certain skin types.  Nonetheless this did leave my skin looking glowy, healthy and not greasy or oily.  

I would recommend this cream is you like mostly natural ingredients in your skincare products!  It is really worth a try!
