Recently, Puresol contacted Everything Beauty and Beyond to review their PureSol Konjac Facial Sponge.  However as luck would have it, I have had a really bad face and neck rash for almost two weeks now.  I believe it is allergy related, however, I can't be sure.  Nonetheless my lovely partner, my sister (Paulette) decided to review it for me!  Going forth Paulette will be a contributor on my blog, so if you see anything written by her then read it, its probably funny as hell and with good information!

I recently received the pureSOL Konjac Facial Sponge with added Bamboo Charcoal to review.

I'm always searching for a facial product that will really benefit my oily, porous skin, especially my nose, and I think I've found a product I actually enjoy. I've tried other exfoliating sponges in the past (not konjac), but none that have worked as well as pureSOL's Konjac Sponge.

I constantly have to use Biore strips on my nose in order to pull out the gunk out so that the pores on my nose feel clean.  I've only been using the Konjac facial sponge for a little over a week and even in that short amount of time it's really helped in smoothing out my nose.  It doesn't get all the sebum out of my pores, but it's good enough. Certainly better than just using a facial cleanser alone.  I normally just wash my face in the shower with an Olay face wash, but I've pouring a drop of the face wash onto the sponge and then scrubbing my face with it. A combination of both works better than using each product individually.  The box the sponge arrived in says I can use it with or without my favorite cleanser but I prefer with!

This is a great, natural exfoliating sponge and I recommend it. 

Word to the wise, the sponge should be soaked first BEFORE using it.  I did not realize this and instead took the sponge into the shower with me when I first used it and it took over a minute of holding it in shower water to soften.  It was not until after I used it the first time that I realized I was supposed to have soaked it in a cup of water. These instructions are on the side of the packaging. In addition, the sponge should be replaced every 2-3 months and can be composted afterwards, which means it's 100% biodegradable.  In addition, the sponge comes with its own suction hook so you can hang it some place in your bathroom so it dries properly.
